Having bought all those bedding plants the other day, today was the perfect day to plant them out in my patio containers. Unfortunately though before Mum and I could do that we had to empty out the old soil from some of the pots and in one of those pots we rather bizarrely found some wheat growing!

Rather bizarrely when we went out for a walk this afternoon we found that someone had left a bag of carrots at the end of the alleyway next to our house.

The newspapers do frequently report ridiculous stories and this one this morning about a 'nose' attachment to enable you to use your smart phone in the bath was no exception! It did make me smile though!

We have a funny sort of palm tree in our front garden but for the last year or so the top has been looking very droopy and some new leaves have been growing at the bottom, so yesterday Mr W took the plunge and cut the top off in the hope that it will resurrect the tree. We've spent the last couple of days visiting the many themed hotels in Vegas, but I think this one, the Excalibur, must win the prize for the craziest facade that wouldn't look out of place at Disneyland! Other bizarre things we've seen include a giant sphinx, a pirate show, animated fountains and a miniature Eiffel Tower. Las Vegas truly is the home of the weird, wacky and wonderful!
