The newspapers do frequently report ridiculous stories and this one this morning about a 'nose' attachment to enable you to use your smart phone in the bath was no exception! It did make me smile though!

Whilst my parents have been travelling the world they've sent us lots of postcards, unfortunately though the ones from New Zealand seem to have taken ages to arrive. Looking at this article from the paper this morning it seems like the problem may have been that they just used our address rather than actually describing where we live - amazingly it only took 4 days for this postcard to reach Norfolk from the Canary Islands! Generally I think I'm lucky if a letter reaches Dorset from London in the same time...

Turns out the story in Friday's paper about the bullet-proof umbrella was true, but I did correctly identify the edible newspaper and unicorns at the Tower of London as being April Fools!

I'm embarrassed to admit it but I'm rubbish at spotting April Fools' hoaxes in the paper and so this morning on my way to work I happily read about edible newspapers, unicorns at the Tower of London and a bullet-proof brolly for the French president. It was only when I got off the train and remembered the date that I started to question what I'd been reading...

Feeling rather pleased with myself tonight, as for the first time I've actually managed to complete the Sudoku in the Evening Standard. Normally I get stumped after entering the obvious numbers and end up giving up or running out of time as my train pulls into my stop.

There was no contest for today's 'photo of the day' - after appearing on the local paper's website last Friday, Mr W and his tube-running exploits have now made it into the print edition. I am so proud of his efforts and hope that he manages to raise lots of money for SANDS.
