Having bought all those bedding plants the other day, today was the perfect day to plant them out in my patio containers. Unfortunately though before Mum and I could do that we had to empty out the old soil from some of the pots and in one of those pots we rather bizarrely found some wheat growing!

I'm afraid to say that I can never resist a bargain which is why I now have 72 bedding plants to plant into my patio tubs - they were on special offer buy 3 packs for £12 in the DIY store today and it seemed too good an offer to miss. Good job my parents are coming to stay this weekend so my Mum can give me a hand with planting them all!

The weather was a bit miserable today so we thought we'd go to the Eden Project as at least we could hide in the biomes if it started to rain too much. It's been about 8 years since we last went not too long after it had opened and it was interesting to see how much the plants in the outside 'biome' had grown up.

This is one of my favourite summer sights - Mr W in charge of cooking lunch on the BBQ! Only trouble with having such a feast at lunchtime is that it makes you then want to spend the rest of the day relaxing in the sun. Nice for us but not so good for all the poor plants waiting to be transferred to more spacious pots - oh well, there's always maƱana...
