I'm afraid to say that I can never resist a bargain which is why I now have 72 bedding plants to plant into my patio tubs - they were on special offer buy 3 packs for £12 in the DIY store today and it seemed too good an offer to miss. Good job my parents are coming to stay this weekend so my Mum can give me a hand with planting them all!

This evening Mr W and I went out for a meal to use up my toptable points that were about to expire. Unfortunately the earliest we could eat was 8pm so we thought we'd go for a little drink beforehand but somehow the barman convinced us that a pitcher was better value for money... probably not the most sensible plan for a Monday night but it did taste nice!

Don't get me wrong, I like living in Orpington but this new shop that I spotted in town today just about sums up the classiness of the town centre. The high street these days seems to be full of discount shops, charity shops and rather bizarrely restaurants - I guess maybe if you save your money by shopping in the former you can afford to eat in the latter...
