I thought we were supposed to be in the middle of a recession, however judging by this article in tonight's Standard it appears there are still some people with plenty of money to throw around. Apparently dog parties complete with pup-cakes, doggy bags and party games are all the rage in London at the moment - makes me think there's a word missing from the headline...

You see some bizarre sights in London and this one was no exception. I was walking to the tube station to go and meet Stephen for some after work drinks with his colleagues when I heard the dulcet sounds of a lone piper. Then when I got closer to the station I spotted this man in full Scottish regalia playing his bagpipes in the roof garden above the station - it was very atmospheric!

Today was the first time that I'd seen one of Boris's bikes being used since their launch a couple of weeks ago and after having walked miles around central London this evening I was beginning to think maybe I should get myself registered to use them.

Saw this special double-decker bus whilst out getting my lunch today and was reminded of a friends' wedding a few years ago where we were taken from the church to the reception in a similar bus. A lovely touch for a London wedding and if I remember rightly our friends travelled in a shiny white cab.
