6th June 2011

Today I had to go up into town for the first time since Thomas as I had a hospital appointment in North London. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I also managed to squeeze in my Juneathon exercise at the same time by walking from the hospital in Belsize Park to Camden Town tube station. I've never walked through Camden before and I was amazed by how vibrant it all seemed. I was also surprised to see how tranquil it was around Camden Lock compared with the hustle and bustle on the street.

Saw this rather nice picture whilst waiting in hospital today - it's basically honeysuckle flowers but there was some debate between Mr W and myself about some of the leaf combinations looking like bunny rabbits!

Today I had an appointment up at the ophthalmology department at our local hospital. I've been there a couple of times before and I am always tickled by these pictures on the wall in which all the subjects have glasses with real lenses!

I went further today than I've been all week - all the way to London Bridge to go and get a blood test from the hospital next door. Made a change to get out of the house for a while!
