We've received lots of flowers from kind friends and family in the last couple of weeks but today I found an even more exciting parcel outside our front door - an edible gift in the form of a box of giant muffins! I was very restrained and managed to resist the temptation to tuck in until Mr W got home from work but don't expect they will last very long!

Last week Mr W bought me the first three books in the Twilight series - the books look lovely with sleek cover illustrations and red edging on the pages, but I wasn't sure they would be my cup of tea. Happily though I was wrong and less than a week later I'm already half-way through the first book!

Each autumn at Brownies we prepare charity Christmas gift boxes for underpriviliged children around the world. This year our boxes are going to local charity Smile International.
Here is my box for an 8 year old boy which includes, amongst other things, pants and socks, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap and flannel, colouring pens and pencils, notebooks, sweets, a mini football and some lego.
