We've received lots of flowers in the last few days but this rose plant 'Special Son' that arrived from some friends this morning seems very appropriate and should hopefully last a lot longer.

Life has been rather cruel to us lately but we have lots of kind friends and family - these were the first of four flower deliveries that arrived today.

Traditionally March is supposed to roar in like a lion and go out like a lamb, unfortunately March 2011 doesn't seem to have read the rule book and the wind this afternoon was blowing about our daffodils in the pots at the front of the house, hence why today's photo is slightly blurry!

Mr W bought me some flowers yesterday but they weren't fully blooming - they are now though and they look lovely in our lounge!

This afternoon I spotted the first daffodils of the season blooming in our garden!

Yesterday Mr W brought some daffodils home from the shops but they were still in bud, however this evening when I got home from work I noticed that the majority are now showing off their full yellowy glory!
