I was almost too ashamed to post this picture of all the dust that I swept up from our bathroom floor this afternoon, but I'm hoping that the shame I feel in sharing this will remind me to clean the floor slightly more often!

Today I decided it was time to sort out my clothes and put the winter ones away and replace them with summer ones, unfortunately this is a task that requires making a mess before it gets better...

We've had our vacuum cleaner for almost ten years now, but after sucking up lots of my hair during that time it is finally starting to lose suction and so this afternoon we went to look at the new Dyson hoover in the shop. Good job we did as it is mini (the adverts say it can fit on a piece of A4 paper) and the drum would probably be full in minutes in our house!

After yesterday's party there was a lot of washing-up to do and so good use was made of my mother's drawer full of tea-towels. One that didn't get used however, although it made it out of the drawer for the first time in probably many years, was this useful calendar tea-towel - if only it was still 1986!!

The sun was shining today and it wasn't bitterly cold, so I was actually able to hang out some washing in the garden for the first time this year.

If there's one chore I hate, it's filing. But Mr W said I had to do something about my overflowing filing tray tonight, so as a start I am emptying the tray and creating piles on the desk instead...

Nice easy tea tonight of leftover lasagne from the weekend, unfortunately the cleaning up was less easy due to the sauce getting slightly welded onto the dish during the re-heating process!  Thank goodness for dishwashers...

My hubby is the best - not only did he clean the BBQ grill this afternoon, but he also cleaned the oven racks! Not sure Kim and Aggie would be too impressed by the laid-back way he went about it though...

No matter how hard we try we always seem to have a mountain of ironing to be done - this is the results of this evening's work.  It looks good doesn't it?! Unfortunately though you can't see the basket on the floor still full of clothes waiting to be ironed!

Unfortunately, unless you go for one of those rather soul-less instant BBQs, the follow-up to a BBQ is the rather less pleasurable task of cleaning it.  Fortunately for me, this is a chore that Mr W is rather good at! :)
